Technical Problems

Geez, getting this illustration done was a lot harder than it should have been! The first issue I ran into was my Wacom tablet up and died on me. That was resolved by the awesome people at Wacom customer service for a low nominal fee. Next, I downloaded the newest version of Photoshop to try…

Scarred Warrior

Well, unfortunately I haven’t been able to do any inking recently. The mini USB port to my Wacom tablet actually pulled out of the tablet itself when I unplugged the cable so now it looks like I have to send it in to Wacom for repairs. In the mean time I was able to knock…

All Hallows Eve

I set this project up with working on my hatching skills in mind, specifically for tones and playing with light sources. Also, I wanted to do a fun horror piece considering that I didn’t have the time to do so back in October. As is the case with most of my art work I try…

A Bullying Story

Back in August I ran across a social justice contest put together by the University of Michigan’s College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) and my local comic shop, The Vault of Midnight. Keeping busy with these works in progress!

Figuring out Manga Studio

So I set up this project as a way to teach myself Manga Studio. I’m still feeling the program out but I can see where it has a lot of potential, specifically when it come to it’s blenders and specialized rulers.

More Spider-man!

Boy, figuring out the fish-eye lens perspective on this was super challenging! It still isn’t perfect but sometimes you just have to get the damn thing done. 🙂 I really dug using Manga Studio for the inking on this project. It made the process go so much faster than if I had tried to ink…

H.P. Lovecraft and Nikola Tesla fan art

For this project I decided to do a piece of fan art of Herald: Lovecraft &Tesla, a comic my friend Tom Rogers is currently penciling for Action Lab Entertainment.  If you haven’t checked it out yet you should, it’s shaping up to be a pretty dope series. For more on Herald and Mr. Rogers check out the…
